Big crowds down the Valley
The thread about the charity game has got me thinking, what's the biggest crowds i've known at the Valley?
Merthyr in the FA Cup springs to mind straight away, also a pre season friendly against the Villa (who had Les Sealey RIP) who brought a big following, friendly against Man Ure, Bromsgrove the year we won the league!!!
Trying to think of others!!!

Kettering in the FA Cup was the biggest attendance I have seen. It was also a pure nightmare full stop getting in, eating drinks, food etc!

The biggest I can think of was the final of the Birmingham Senior Cup against the Blues. I think the attendance was over 2000, although I can't find any record of it.

Here is a decent picture of the Cedar Road with a good turnout.
It was the day we could have won the league, but Gloucester won 1-0, which took it to the last day. The attendance at the Valley was 1088.

I am sure the MT crowd was over 2000?
I remember Smithy running on the pitch and no-one followed him?
What ever happened to Smithy?
