non league day - 13th October 2012
It was said last year that more could have been done to celebrate non league day, but the notice wasn't sufficient.
Is anything happening this year for it, or does anyone have any ideas?

Think Redders needs to get a coach and treat it like an away game
Re: non league day - 13th October 2012
So it's this Saturday, Redditch at home, no Villa, Blues, Albion or Wolves, even Walsall are playing Sunday (not that for one minute I believe when Walsall play has any bearing on Redditch's crowds whatsoever!!) and England is on Friday night!!!
So, what have the club done to promote non league day and more importantly, promote the club???

A missed opportunity if the club have done nothing. You will see clubs gates going up and Redditch's going down.

Next week Charlton v Barnsley...every seat at $5.
Non league MUST change its pricing structure.

Hemel Hempstead Town - To celebrate Non-League Day, the club reckon they may have the best deal in the country! The Tudors reckon they are the first club to offer Free Entrance for:-

All Premiership Season Ticket Holders
All Championship Season Ticket Holders
All League One Season Ticket Holders
All League Two Season Ticket Holders
This offer is applicable to all serving members of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy & RAF), Emergency Services (Ambulance, Fire, Police, Doctors, Nurses) and current season ticket holders (Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two) with suitable identification or season ticket to show at the turnstiles for free entrance. All other prices on the day remain the same: Adult: £8 Concessions: £5 Children: £1. All the club ask in return is that you email them at info@hemelfc.com with the number of people in your party if you are to attend so that they can ensure they have suitable provisions in place on the day to make your visit that more enjoyable.

A little bit of thought at RUFC could pay off with something as simple as this. I fear that the club is drifting towards trouble again with gates dwindling. It will be interesting to see if any of the regulars are there after the debacle last week against Hemel.
Even Alvechurch are doing something for Non League day and now have an association with Birmingham City http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/alvechurch/news/non-league-day-691593.html
I just cannot understand why the club are failing to see that it needs more than a weekly article in the Advertiser to get fans down to the ground. It needs some thought albeit simple to try and make things work.
Re: non league day - 13th October 2012
Hemel got 444 today! Their highest gate of the season!
Opportunity missed!

That will be the owners
Yes, it's a missed chance. But 'Non-League Day' isn't an official, only happens once a year opportunity to promote the club.
Without studying the fixtures, I'm sure there will be further opportunities throughout the season, when Villa, Blues, Man U & Liverpool aren't playing at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. If the club has the desire to do so, then we don't have to wait another year to do something positive.
