Brackley Town, ahead at half time from a seventh minute strike, scored four after the break to complete a resounding 5-1 home win over out of form Chippenham Town to increase their lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division table on Saturday.

Meanwhile second placed AFC Totton, ahead after just two minutes, were held to a 1-1 draw at home when Leamington kept their play-off hopes alive with a goal twelve minutes into the second half.

Chesham United, two ahead at the break, moved back into third place when they scored four times in the second half, including two in time added on, to win 6-0 at second from bottom Swindon Supermarine while fourth in the table Oxford City scored a goal in each half to win 2-0 at home against Evesham United, leaving the visitors still occupying the final relegation place.

Fifth placed Cambridge City had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at Frome Town and Stourbridge also drew 1-1 thanks to a penalty in the third minute of time added on at Arlesey Town.

St Albans City, trailing to a penalty on the hour, were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Banbury United while Bedford Town, behind at the break, scored twice in the second half to win 2-1 at home against Weymouth but Barwell lost 3-2 at home to Hemel Hempstead Town, giving the visitors a vital three points in their relegation battle.

Hitchin Town, two up after half an hour, were pegged back to 2-2 at bottom of the table Cirencester Town. In the day's other game at Redditch United the home side and Bashley each edged a point further away from the danger zone with a 2-2 draw.
