Congrats to him, of course, for scoring two goals against the mighty Liverpool, but it underlines yet again what a f***ing shambles our club has been all too recently that players of his calibre have been allowed to slip through our fingers for naff all - Exodus, Rob Taylor, Aman Verma, Scott Dann (although he may have only been on loan, I forget) all have played league football after leaving us for jack. Never again should we be placed in a position where we can't protect our investment in players by signing them to contracts, because we can't afford to. We can't afford not to.

You can add James dance, Matty Blair, Danny Lewis, that are all playing full time football and left reds recently for not a penny

From the games I've saw Cresswell is decent at times. If the youth policy / reserves were any good surely we'd try them out. Can't be worst than wat weve got already
