Tim Flowers resigns as Stafford manager

He informed the board he wasn't enjoying it anymore. Nice if you can just jack a job when it gets a bit tough!
His assistant Matt Elliott (formerly Leicester City captain) takes temporary charge.

That does not surprise me one bit. They are in free fall Scaffold and are on the way down to the Evostick IMO

1. Point taken
2. I know there is nothing wrong with the Evostik mate, its just that Scaffold won't ever accept it will they (eg Al)
Re: Tim Flowers resigns as Stafford manager
Maybe the fact they are as bad as us in the league was too much to bear!
Gards and Snapper still look like they enjoy it!
Who can blame them? Very little expectation.
They'll be heroes if they keep us in the league!

Good source told me that they could only get 12 players last Saturday....another one bites the dust.

Hmmm not that I'd wish it upon any team, but if Scaffold went under then it swallows up another place in the drop zone.
Re: Tim Flowers resigns as Stafford manager
I don't think they have any pressing issues in terms of going bust, just haven't got a pot to go in.
From what I heard they pretty much begged Chris Brindley (the gaffer before Flowers) to stay in the job as he was the only guy who would do it on the cheap, when Flowers showed an interest they were happy to let him resign (Brindley had tried to more than once but got talked out of it).
Clearly didn't think it through, an experienced non league manager will struggle in Stafford's circumstances, let alone a former pro who doesn't know the level; he can't have known the level to sign players like Danny Campbell et al.
Now where do they turn? Matt Elliott is the caretaker, he has some experience of non league in the Leicestershire area, I think (if he wants it) he would be a sensible appointment for them.
