In a word, disappointing. To be fair Banbury looked a useful side and on that evidence should finish well up the table but from our perspective a bit of an anti climax.
We weren't awful and frankly given the abysmal performances at the start of the season this would have been seen as a decent effort by comparison. However, in view of our recent excellent run this was nowhere near what we have shown ourselves capable of.
As I said we weren't awful and it did seem we were trying to play some decent stuff but so often the final ball was lacking. Too lazy, too clever, too overhit, you name it. It was a story of misplaced passes from our point of view.
When a glorious free kick (Bridgwater I think) hit the underside of the bar then bounced out a few minutes from the end it was pretty obvious that we could have stayed on the pitch for the rest of the afternoon and still not scored.
