Four officials

I have been told that next season we have to have four ref's/officials, they are going to come from further a field (due to a shortage) and we have to pay there expenses.
So if we get them local fine, but if they are coming from say Newcastle and the likes its going to cost lots of money.
Also they will come from lower leagues as there will be a shortage and therefore the prospect of even more poor decisions, small clubs like ours are getting srcewed big time I feel.

Daz Lane was telling me about this the other week.
I think it's a 'sub ref', incase the other one picks up an injury?

Wow, we're fortunate if we get one official that does a good job! Four bad ones will kill us!!!

What a stupid idea. There aren't enough officials in the game as it is, let alone with a fourth official sent to matches at our level - how often are they actually going to be called upon to officiate? We see maybe one official replaced per season? And if they are coming from further afield, that's only likely to add to frustration and disillusionment among officials, if their hour-long journey becomes two or three hours each way, then they'll drop out and add to the shortage.

Maybe we should get PK to be our 4th official at the Valley - save a lot of money

I think it's a cracking idea. The fourth official will stand in between the dug outs and we can slaughter him big time from the Cedar Rd.
