You get a number of posters who only post neagtive stuff, but in time they will come and go like any message board.

Those fans with balanced views who sometimes post neagtive stuff but are, well, were, regular contributors get shot down so quickly for not nodding along with the consensus on here that they just stop contributing altogether.

There is at times such a patronising overtone to so many debates on here that people just don't bother.

Our forum is just the same as any other. Loyal fans, st*t stirrers, people who have alternative views on the club, people who stick up for the club, people who are involved with the club who express their thought even when it goes against the club, etc etc. People who rarely go to games. People who go to every game. If they like it they'll stay , if they don't they won't. We are no different on here.

It was a great result and from the highlights a decent performance.

Can we please leave it there? No need to turn this into another 4-pager about Graham Hyde's favourite brand of cough sweets.

I consider myself a 'usual suspect' and I express my opions good or bad....
Other 'usual suspects' only contribute after a disappointing result...

I tried yesterday to book the function room for a small get together in March....fully booked on Friday & Saturday nights for all my possible dates.
Things are not all bad and we have to apprecaite the football club is not just all about the result on a Saturday afternoon ...good or bad.

Your nearly getting there bob the stuff off the field is good but your wrong! It still is a football club. Its all about Saturday!

I think you've got it spot on, there does seem to be a lot of negative comments after a poor result. I put it partially down to getting a reaction mostly in the case of 'the usual suspects', it's what makes this forum interesting if sometimes a little childish. Personally if im not there i mostly hold judgement and comment on the games i watch albeit very few.

On the flip side some comments are really sickly sweet and could be read as blinkered. Overall in a nutshell my feelings are:

1. Chris Swan is the best thing to ever happen to RUFC
2. The improvements taken place have been great ie.clubhouse/ground
3. Results on the pitch have been under par from most expectations
4. For me Jurys out on Graham Hyde.....does need more time....but im not convinced he IS the man
5. Im going to Chippenham at home and totton away
6. If someone can offer me a reasonably well paid job mon-fri, i'll be at every game

keep up the great work Mr Swan et al.......because if he did walk away we are in the sh*t...lets remember that....but Graham Hyde needs to get the team playing, dont want to discuss budgets etc (because i havent a clue what ours is) but imo we should be able to compete in this league even if mid-table also rans

I find it strange on a Forum of free speech and opinions that some posters, usually Mrs. Moor, seem to think that every Redditch fan MUST critisize what the club does, and if nobody agrees with the negative comments, they are accused of sucking up to the club and trying to look good infront of the people at the top.

Bob Marley has been accused on many occasions of backing up the club too much... i don't see how? He's a Loyal reds fan, why should he criticize the club? Why should any of us critisize the club? If we have something negative to say, we'll say it. I think in2thevalley was also questionned about why he sits back and doesn't critisize...

The last 2 years or so of being a redditch fan has taught me the value of the club, what it means to myself and so many others, i've seen, and been part of what people have done to stop it from going under. I don't see anything wrong with being 100% positive. It shows that you're a loyal fan that sticks by the club.

Yeah we've had bad results, we've had some incredible results and we've had some average results. That's football. It seems to me that Mrs. Moor wants Hyde to fail just to say "i told you so"

I've been critical, i've been positive. We're not bottom of the league. We're not in the relegation places. This season was never going to be easy.
