What We are up against in the Zam Premier
Chippenham will be working on a reduced budget of £1.5k a week next season:

Redders is confident he will be here next season:

I would interview him and ask him what type of players he could recruit. If they were not good enough on paper for this league I would say No, if they were then maybe yes.
Timing now is crucial, as it is the end of the season almost bar the playoffs in the various leagues, players are now available and you need a manager to be recruiting at this point. This needs the manager to be known and that manager knows his budget.
Re: What We are up against in the Zam Premier
So, what are we up against money wise ? Obviously we can't afford another season like last even with the fantastic effort of our unpaid squad.
It seems to me that at least half of them would be capable of doing a job in the Zam but we need a bit more quality in a few areas and above all we need some experience.
Personally I reckon we need a 1k to 2k weekly budget to make sure that we can compete. Long term we're going to have to get that up to 3k to 4k in order to aim for promotion.
For the Chippenham budget to be cut to 1.5k and for it to be 'newsworthy' my guess is that it's been halved at least which would mean it was obviously about 3k per week and my guess is that this would be fairly typical of the Zam.
On a different note I have to say I'm looking forward to next season. A lot more away grounds in my area that I can get to so I will see more of the Reds than I have done in the last few years. A big reduction in travelling costs for the club (especially with Truro and possibly Salisbury getting promotion) and hopefully no loss of away support.
The BSN has been a bit disappointing in the last couple of years. The standard at times has not been great, a lot of hoofball even from some of the 'better' teams and very often p*** poor away support.
Look forward to hearing everyone's views.

Re: What We are up against in the Zam Premier
I'm also looking forward to next season, it'll be refreshing to visit new, closer grounds and i should be able to make plenty more away games!
If we can start winning a few, it'll get the crowds back and generate intrest!
Or it could swing the other way and we do just as bad next season as we did last season...
But i don't think that'll happen!
Bring it on!
