Socket to take over Rugby Town

A little dicky bird told me this morning that Socket is to be new manager at Ruby Town??

How long was he at Daventry before they gave him the axe...

Wonder if he'll manage to last more than two months at a club?

I spoke with Paul earlier Aidy, and he commented on your post and the surprise due to how nice to his face you always were. I cant think he has done anything to you personally since his departure, so does this make you either

There was another post of similar confusion a while back where Red Jeff slated Paul here after always being nice to his face, that ended with a grovelling apology........ Strange goings on

Ive said beforee that this is a forum not a boxing ring, and a good job too as there dont seem to be many prize fighters here, always good to remember to keep personal things youre not prepared to say to someones face OFF the forum..... just an opinion though

Rowley, hasn't Smudger taken over at Earlswood? He is better off managing than being a No 2.

Yes he has Lee and I tend to agree with you.
I also believe and agree with other opinions here that the level will suit him better too, its what he knows best. Jumping up too many levels in 1 go is very hard. I know we had relative success at Alliance level, depending of course how you measure success, but we had both been in the Comb Prem a good few years before. Taking football stages at a sensible rate is always best, building up contacts and helpful friends within the capabilities asked, instead of asking people to work outside their comfort or even ability zone. Im sure he will have success at Earlswood, and while doing so build up again to maybe Alliance level, and then hopefully sensibly to the level he desires. I also believe the guy he worked with before was a lot better for him than his last one
