Phil Green
Is on the bench for Worcester v Colwyn Bay today.....
A local player playing for a local rival why we continue to bring in loan players to play on midfield.... Sounds good doesn't it

Re: Phil Green
Heard from Matt Gardener on new years day that Greeny was training with Worcester. Good player but very lazy.

Maybe a little lazy but he has quality which I am afraid to say we lack
Re: Phil Green
Was Thinking the same. Watch highlights from last season and his creativity leads to goals (Telford for example).
Also what had happened to Brad Bullimore? Always rated him, then suddenly he's gone. Be a great partner at the back with Hickman.

Re: Phil Green
He looked very good pre-season, albeit only against lower level teams.
When the league games started, that all changed. Some of his performances were not only poor, they were abysmal. He had a fair crack of the whip and I saw nothing that would encourage Hyde to give him another go.
And his attitude stinks. I'd rather have one Tommy Warmer than ten Phil Greens.

Re: Phil Green
Green isn't here because of his attitude. One flash of skill in 90 poor minutes isn't good enough. Won't be back here for a long time and that's good news.

Maybe but in the meantime we have some absolute class midfields who could not open a present or actually know where the goal is.....

Bang on. You have summed up GREENY beautifully. And yes I too would have 1 than 10 Phil Greens because will always give you 100%.

Re: Phil Green
If you let low life like Greeny back into a club, you clearly are moving in the wrong direction.
His talent is without question, but his consistancy and attitude, along with his scum like personality means any team WITHOUT him in is in a far better place than 1 WITH him in.
how did young Cresswell do today anybody?

Re: Phil Green
cresswell has exact same view and attitude towards the game, thinks he is bigman in football. everyone who as at cirencester game could blatantly see worse player on pitch (very difficult task as it was dour)

Re: Phil Green
I thought Greeny was absolute gash in pre-season agains't very weak opposition.
He must have missed at least 6 chances at Cradley... and if he can't score against them there's not much hope elsewhere. He's technically a very good player... like Chris Cornes, but they lack that bit extra.
What do people class as a "Local Player" We had trials at the start of the season where the "local" people of Redditch tried out... how many are now playing? What other teams should we be looking at for players? Stratford? Studley? No disrespect to them but they aren't the best teams and we're not going to be able to get players from bigger clubs unless they are on loan?

Re: Phil Green
Good question. Studley is only just down the road, but it's not even in the same county, whereas Bromsgrove is at least in Worcestershire but I wouldn't want any of those twelve-fingered inbred jizzrags playing for us.rawlings09 wrote:What do people class as a "Local Player" We had trials at the start of the season where the "local" people of Redditch tried out... how many are now playing? I have to make the point that all we rely on is loan players who come and go with no stability. We don't seem to have a scouting network to check on local talent. What I mean by local is not just Redditch but Stratford, Leamington, Birmingham etc. go by the leagues such as the MFA, Evostick Northern & Southern leagues and those clubs.
What is the clubs identity of players based on? Hickman, Coleman, Warmer, Robinson etc, we then expect to have so called quality from loan players that gives no stability.

Isn't Brad at University?
