Is TRUST dead?
The Standard and the Club Website homepage has an article basically saying 'The Friends of Redditch United' is now up and running; it's purpose seems very similiar to that of the TRUST; drumming up support, promoting the club, cross fertilisation of ideas etc. etc
It is not clear on whether the TRUST is now a dead duck, if it isn't it seems strange having two similar groups with such a small fan base and an uneccessary duplication of effort.
Who will be running the Goalden Goal on the coach to Cambridge today, if it is the TRUST, is it still recognised by RUFC?

Re: Is TRUST dead?
Absolutely not.
TRUST objectives remain the same.
In the absence of any kind of organization, TRUST took the role of fund raiser....now the club is more organized, the baton has been passed back to the club under the 'Friends of RUFC' umbrella which includes ALL sections of the club.
This is what we needed from the start but was never able to help the club's Directors see this.
Mr Swan has a different vision.
TRUST continue to contribute to the financial aspect of the club with the 5k per season pledge (golden goal, subscriptions etc).

Seen the website but does not really provide much other than the 4 committees so where is the detail?
Could be a good idea though and hope it works. Not really anything different from what the TRUST personnel have mentioned for about 2 years though is it!
Re: Is TRUST dead?
Yes...but now we have a Chairman who listens, organizes and does something instead of the old blah, blah, blah.
From what I hear, the soul night/Valentines was an overwhelming success...everyone communicated too, shared responsibility for ticket sales...great stuff.
It isn't perfect...but things are moving in the right direction.

Re: Is TRUST dead?
No..the bullshit loan taken out by previous owners of the club will not be paid off until May 2013.
After negotiation, we reduced the 24k loan (taken out to pay players the club could not afford) down to 17k.
Mr Swan contributed 8k and the TRUST committed to pay the remaining 9k...to ensure the life of the club....fulfilling the first objective of the organization.
TRUST do not run the club...the owners do.

Depends on the members....as always.
We need to reenergize things first.

Re: Is TRUST dead?
Can I just ask (out of curiosity - no hidden agenda!- as I feel a little out of touch) a) who are the current committee and b) shouldn't there be an AGM soon?
Thanks

Re: Is TRUST dead?
The committee remain the same.
Due to work and other commitments, TRUST has been less than active.
I repeat, TRUST was organized to ensure the continued life of RUFC...not to organize everything around the club.
That is the role of the officials and Friends of Redditch United.
The AGM is overdue and a statement of accounts will be issued before the end of the year.

Re: Is TRUST dead?
Update of Armada loan payments.
Total loan after negotiation = 8847.76 (inc VAT)
Payments to date : 7212.81
Payments to be made : 1634.95 (5 more payments finishing on 15 June 2013)
Due to match postponements / low participation of the score predictor, we have fell well behind the payment schedule and need to catch up nearly 3000 to clear the outstanding balance.
At the current income level, we will need another 12 months to clear the total debt.
A full statement can be sent to you by PM if required.
A big thank you to everyone who continues to support this financial commitment.

Re: Is TRUST dead?
FYI.
We have formally received the statement from Armada Loans and the outstanding balance is now ZERO.
We have completed the 24 payments of 326.99.
Due to low participation in the weekly predictor and a drop off in donations, we still owe me 2000 exactly.
I have discussed some options with Kimbo & Julian Workman to pay-off the remaining balance, before the start of the new season.
We all thank all donors for their financial support for the club and we look forward to support other fund raising initiatives around the team.
