Race night
Just had a look on the Race night , it seem to be going well, have noticed the local papers advertising the event
Looking at the races, nearly all of them are full (Race 4 still has 4 vacancies to fill) but by and large everything appears to running well (pardon the pun )

Re: Race night
Hay!, I'd say it was all going well and looking quite stable. Sorry but it does remind me of this old joke,in2thevalley wrote:Just had a look on the Race night , it seem to be going well, have noticed the local papers advertising the event

Riding the favourite at Aintree a jockey is well ahead of the rest of the field.
Suddenly his mount is hit by a turkey. He manages to keep control of his horse and pulls back into the lead, only to be struck by a dozen sausage rolls and box of Cream crackers as he jumps over the last fence.
He recovers form this and manages to return to the front of the field, but, in the final furlong, he’s struck on the head by a bottle of champagne. Unfortunately he had no time to recover and only manages to finish in second place.
Furious, the jockey complains to the racecourse stewards that he has been seriously hampered

Re: Race night
Fingers was leading his horse down the road and met his neighbour Bob. His neighbour said to him "What are you going to do with that horse?" Fingers replied 'race it', Bob then replied "Well by the looks of it you'll win!".

Re: Race night
enough of the horse play now, all jockeying for position in the best pun championships. I think I win by a nose.

I knew I'd get saddled with the job of trying to whip you boys into shape. What's the betting this thread carries on? I'd say its odds on.This post is off the hoof of course.

Re: Race night
Before I gallop off, are all the races full now or what. Having looked at the Redditch website it hadn't been updated

Re: Race night
Does anyone fancy running a Sponsored advert campaign on Facebook for the event?
It has been suggested/considered before in other threads.

Re: Race night
I think we should, the last one brought one or two new faces. Based on the fiver it cost that was good business.

Re: Race night
Have all the races been filled yet or are there still gaps. The Redditch United website which I visited earlier still shows a few spaces. It less than 3 weeks away to the race night.
