Reds 0 Small town in Tipton 4
I think it was a good indicator as to the type of football and standard of football we'll see next year.
We should have been a couple of goals up before they got going, a great save by their keeper, and a missed header. At 2-0, we went a bit gung ho, three at the back proved our undoing as they scored two late on.
They are 7th in the league we'll be in next year, we were there or thereabouts with a team full of strangers.
They brought more than 75% of BSN teams as well!!!
Looking forward to a settled side, Cassius looked good and the (7) Telford guy? was quality...and
SPUD ( Joe Hull)is rapidly gaining cult status on the Cedar Rd game by game.
Andy Bates took the line of the night...week..month.....not to be told on here tho!

As I was completely wrong with the score (again!), what was the attendance?

Every game seems to have less and less people, if it was not for the Small Town In Tipton Fans we'd have been looking at 50 people. As it was a Tuesday I think the Droylsdon Game will show where we really are with numbers but its not looking good, and can we NOT GIVE ROGER a Drum AGAIN please. It was like the drum version of TORRETS, and the timing!!(Rogers World Spins at a Different Speed to Ours).

Considering the state of the pitch, it wasn't a terrible performance, but hats off to Stourbridge...they took their chances very well.
Fair play to their fans too, they travelled well and made some decent noise.
To be honest this season can't end quick enough for me! I long for the day where we have a familiar squad each week, and surrounded in the league by teams we can comfortably compete against.
That said, you've got to hand it to the lads for the past few weeks though, we've took the game to top half sides ie. Nunny, Boston, and their effort can't be knocked.
Good to see Roger in the Cedar Road last night, even though his drum skills are very basic
Good craic Tuesday night! Same again this Saturday lads, followed by the race night John for the win!

We played well 1st half and were unlucky to be leading at half time.
Stourbridge were a decent side and it shows why they are where they are in the Zam Premier. Unfortunately when we start in that league next season we will again struggle, even if we had the squad we did when Matty was in charge it would not be good enough other than bottom 6 IMO. Evesham have got a squad that is a lot stronger and they are mid table, unfortunately the club is at a cross roads and will continue to drop down the ladder but keeping it in existence is the key thing.

Lee...you are 100% correct.
We will struggle and we are on a spiral, but at least RUFC will be kept alive.
When I was working with the Plan B committee, the consensus was that it would be better to go to admin, clear the debts and start again.
However, one of the biggest creditors we have is Redditch Borough Council (20k)..the landlord.
When we met Carol Gandy to present the co-operative model, she was in favour but kept coming back to the fact if the club went into admin, they would not support a new owner unless the ground rent and rates were paid in full...RUFC is a political 'tool' between Con & Lab and the debts are from years of abuse of the landlord.
There is no right way to go...damned if we do, damned if we don't...that is why the history of the Reds if deffo worth fighting for!
