Extra games??

I’m not really sure that this is the correct thing to do. Several failed Conference clubs, Salisbury, Farnborough, Nuneaton, have been winning the promotion spots in SLP in recent years. It’s hardly fair on the established SLP clubs that these teams keep dropping in and take the glory.

A two level drop is not enough for me, especially when the likes of Nuneaton and Halifax keep bouncing back so quickly. That for me, is not a good enough deterrent and punishment.

Are they going to create an extra relegation spot next season to accommodate them? That doesn’t seem fair either.

That said, I’ve always wanted to go to Nene Park. It’s a fantastic looking ground. Hopefully, they’ll bring a fair few fans to the Valley and the extra game and income would be good for the club.

It's a very nice ground!

i played a few tournaments on it when i was younger.

Not too far away either!

Nene Park will be the Old Trafford in our division, I went there in the early 2000's and the facilities, ground were very good
even better than Telford's place.

That aside I agree that its a poor show if the league keep moving goalposts to accomodate these teams and make it easier
for them to gain promotion.

I agree it's unfair on other SLP clubs, that said they're probably used to it now (Farnborough, Nunny, Boston? Etc).
This will surely have a knock on effect throughout the league pyramid, with less promotion spots.

Saying that, Redditch United vs Rushden & Diamonds does sound good!

However, I hope the right decision is made and R&D are made an example of.
