Volunteers required this Saturday

We have permission to give leaflets out ( plus a few freebies) by the Church in town on Saturday, we are getting 300 leaflets printed with a flyer for the Bromsgrove game, with reduced entry with the flyer.
Can you let me know on here who can attend please! Starts at 8.00 finishes at 1PM.

Can you also let me know times you can make...we don't want 17 from 8 till 10 then 3 till twelve etc etc.

Can't make before the game, but if there are any spare leaflets going I'll gladly do all the pubs on the Evesham Road

I am not sure after the game is a good idea....the leaflets are to promote the game with voucher...

I think you just want an excuse to do the Golden Mile....

I recall....Hotshots (what was the pub called before...it had a tree in the restaurant bit?)...Fleece...the old one across the road from my house....Dog & Pheasant...The Bell...Gate...Seven Stars...(missed White Hart as gay place in those days)...Park...Woodland Cottage...Black Horse...Cross...Swingin Sporran (Limelight)...Unicorn...Traceys (Top Cats)...did I miss one?

Sorry I should have worded it better, I meant are there any that can be spared so I can put them in the pubs on the golden mile as I live next to it (prior to Saturday)

The last Golden mile I took part in started at the fleece, then onto the eagle, dog & pheasant, steps, White hart (x 2 as the gate is too depressing or closed), 7 stars, park inn, woodland cottage, black horse, kings arms and then into town if still able.
The worst part is the woodland cottage because by this time, you're pretty pished and end up chatting to 70 year olds about how the cost of living has risen over the years etc.

You are 100% right about the Woodland Cottage!! plenty of Grannies willing to chat with you!

Still remember paying $5 to get in the back door at Top Cats around midnight and seeing Porrohman grinding on the dancefloor preparing for the 'last dance last chance' dredging!

If you can get to the club today or tomorrow I can give you some flyers and posters mate, that goes for anyone else who wouldnt mind handing some out.

Well done to the person that organised this hope you get a decent response the town folk. I do suspect that as it's bromsgrove people will come down anyway. Hope you get the support to continue with this fan recruitment throughout the season.

Million thanks to all that helped...I did the early shift and I've discovered at least 40% of people these days wear earphones!!!! You think how rude they are to ignore you then you see the wires....We gave the 300th leaflet out at 12 o' clock.
It's about spreading the word......

4-1 to Redditch, great effort and a massive help from the few guy's that were in the town this morning.
We as a club did well today and looks good for the future, yes there were teething troubles but we expected there to be and had planned for this so as to get the match day experience better. how this club failed to make money is beyond me and makes you wonder where it all went! , It was really nice to see old faces back and I hope they left knowing that things are different now. not one bad comment was made today even though we still have improvement works ongoing, what a difference 5 months and a sustainable business plan can to do to a club like ours.

This is great news....Kimbo said the attendance was 310, which is brilliant for a friendly at this time of year.

Sure, there will be bumps in the road....but what a journey we are going on?

Things will never be perfect....look at the very top of English football...hardly a bed of roses....but as Jeff says, we have a plan, we have great people and now strong leadership.

the 310 figure was just a rough head count during the main game, in total and with 20 odd more coming into the ground just for the band was around the 400 mark.50 or so left after the under 21's and people were still coming in with 15 mins left of the main game.
