Rush & Dalglish
Shearer & Sutton
Marks and Spencer
Freeman, Hardy and Willis (although to be fair, Hardy dropped deep to receive the ball fairly frequently)

How about Beardsley and Cole!
1 a truly gifted footballer with vision and passing skills to drool over, and the other fast, alert and hit the onion bag!
Both well under 6ft.
Awesome

I'll take Rush and Dalglish...and Beardsley and Cole, both different as Rowly says Beardsley was a creator, he wasn't an out and out scorer yet Cole was, Rush and Dalglish were both scorers .Mcavennie and Cottee had a good couple of seasons at West Ham.

Yep, good one. With Tony Morley on the wing that was a great combination.Kevin Phillips and Niall Quinn.

Quite agree, Rowly...just disappointed never to see Beardsly at his absolute best in a England shirt...maybe a few games when playing alongside Lineker?

Don't even start a great keepers thread. I will spontaneously combust if anyone dares mention Peter Shilton.

Back to wingers how about the bearded John ''Jonah'' Jones from the Mick Touhy era or the very skillful if always a little rotund Mickey Imms.
