Darren Byfield joins United
Our loss is your gain as it has been announced today that the above, who has been the player/coach of the Moors for the last 2 years, has become your new manager.
Ex League player, Darren, had a successful 2 years at the Moors, learning a lot under Marcus Bignot, and, at the age of 39, will now have the chance to see what he can do as the Number 1 coach.
He is a really nice guy and I feel Redditch fans are lucky to have him. Good luck to Darren and Redditch in the 2016/17 season.

The whole thing is rather strange, why would Liam leave Redditch for Hednesford with all the investment taking place and the club appearing to be ready for take off.
No disrespect to Darren but is that the best they could do with everything about to happen off the pitch, was there not anyone with a proven record interested.
