Weekend Action
Premier Division - Leaders Brackley Town, three ahead mid way through the second half, conceded two goals in seven minutes but held out to win 3-2 at Redditch United while second in the table AFC Totton, trailing at the break, scored twice in the second half to win 2-1 at second from bottom Cirencester Town and third placed Cambridge City, ahead after just seven minutes but pegged back just before the interval, scored with eleven minutes remaining to stay in touch with the leading pair with a 2-1 victory at third from bottom Hemel Hempstead Town. Fifth in the table Chesham United fell a goal behind with twenty minutes remaining at Hitchin Town but secured a point from a 1-1 draw with a goal just three minutes from time while Oxford City scored twice in seven second half minutes to record a 2-0 home win over Weymouth but Leamington could only take a point from a 0-0 home draw with Chippenham Town. Banbury United, a goal ahead after five minutes, completed a 4-1 home win over Stourbridge to dent the visitor's hopes of challenging for honours while Barwell were held to a 1-1 home draw by Arlesey Town and St Albans City, a goal down at the interval, lost 2-1 at home to Bedford Town. Bashley were held to a 1-1 draw at home when Frome Town equalised from a penalty two minutes before half time while bottom of the table Swindon Supermarine, after racing into a four goal lead in the first half, conceded three goals after the interval but held on to win 4-3 at Evesham United.
