Premier Division - Brackley Town, behind after just three minutes, clinched the Championship when they scored ten minutes later to draw 1-1 at Oxford City leaving the home side fourth in the table, although with three games still to play, while Chesham United moved back into second place with two goals in the opening half hour giving them a 2-0 home win against Frome Town but AFC Totton, despite taking the lead after twenty-five minutes, lost 2-1 at Stourbridge, and Cambridge City, ahead from a penalty, lost 2-1 at Evesham United leaving the home side still with an outside chance of avoiding relegation - Totton, Cambridge, Oxford, and Stourbridge are all poised on seventy-one points, two behind Chesham. Leamington's slim chance of securing a play-off place disappeared when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Banbury United who were left still needing a point to ensure their safety. Chippenham Town, with just one win since the turn of the year, scored three times in the first half on the way to a resounding 4-1 victory at St Albans City while Barwell scored a goal in each half to win 2-0 at Swindon Supermarine to almost certainly condemn their hosts to relegation and Bedford Town picked up a point from a 2-2 home draw when they hit back after being two down to Bashley at the interval. Weymouth, a goal down three minutes into the second half, scored twice in four minutes to ensure another season in the top flight with a 2-1 home win over Hitchin Town and Redditch United also reached safety when three second half goals gave them a 3-0 win at Arlesey Town leaving their hosts still in danger just one place above the drop zone. Hemel Hempstead Town kept their survival hopes alive with a 4-1 home win over bottom club Cirencester Town but they will need to win their remaining two games and hope that Banbury or Arlesey lose their final match!
